How to Grow Your Instagram in 2020

Is Instagram worth the effort? How in depth should you share? What tools really make a difference?

I used to try to increase my followers but I quickly realized that didn’t make a difference in my life and it felt vain; not impactful.

It also doesn’t feel good to have 2k followers and only 50 people like your post. You want to have a high “conversion rate” to know your content is resonating and that the “right” people are following your account and are genuinely interested.

Engagement is a better indicator of your account’s value:

Engagement = (likes + comment on one post) / # of followers

Engagement shows that people are watching and listening. They can’t turn their eyes away from you. They’re curious what you’ll say next, what advice you’ll lend out, and what you’re up to — because you’re authentic and magnetic. The point isn’t to attract thousands of people, it’s just to attract the right ones. It’s valuable to create your own Instagram rules and build a social media world that matters to you.
